About Numa Pit

Last year, NiftyKit became a wholly owned subsidiary of Kaikai Kiki, and NiftyKit's work has taken a different shape since then. Today, a small team is building something entirely new.

That project is Numa Pit.

In Japanese, there's a word for getting so absorbed in something that you can't pull yourself back out: numaru. The word comes from numa, meaning "swamp".

Numa Pit is a live auction platform for trading collectibles: the kind of place you sink into and never quite want to leave.

From the beginning, NiftyKit has been built around digital collectible NFTs, where ownership and provenance live on chain. A new way to collect in the digital space.

With Numa Pit, we're bringing that same thinking to physical collectibles. Every collector knows the moment: holding a real collectible in your hands and getting completely absorbed in it. This time, it's about physical collectibles.

We wanted to share this news first with the people who were part of NiftyKit's earliest chapter.
